Common questions

Where is my data stored?

Everything lives on your device. Crema uses Apple's SwiftData for local storage. Your brew history is yours. I'm working on an opt-in CloudKit-sync feature though!

Can I export my data?

Yes! Navigate to the Settings page of Crema and hit the export button. This will create a JSON file with all your beans and brews. Exports have a .crema file extension which makes the import process easier. If you want to import your data somewhere else, just change it to .json, which is a well supported file format.

What happens if I delete the app?

Since all data is stored locally, deleting Crema permanently removes your brew history and bean library. There's no way to recover it.

Is Crema free?

Crema will launch with a free tier. Some features may be available as a one-time purchase — no subscriptions.

I found a bug. What should I do?

Email me at crema@credo.codes with what happened and your device/iOS version. Screenshots help a lot.
